Phần nhiều Wiktionary tiếng Việt được nhập từ dự án [http://www.informatik.uni-leipzig.de/~duc/Dict/ Free Vietnamese Dictionary Project] của Hồ Ngọc Đức. Hồ Ngọc Đức đã phát hành nội dung các từ điển dưới giấy phép [[w:Giấy phép Công cộng GNU|Giấy phép Công cộng GNU]] (GPL), nhưng tại vì nó không thích hợp với giấy phép [[w:Giấy phép Tài liệu Tự do GNU|Giấy phép Tài liệu Tự do GNU]] (GFDL) của chúng ta, chúng ta đã xin Hồ Ngọc Đức phát hành cùng lúc dưới GFDL:

http://vndic.net là từ điển thông minh, cho dù bạn gõ dư hay thiếu từ, hở đầu hở đuôi thì kết quả cũng gần như từ bạn mong muốn, vd: helloab > ahellob > thì vẫn ra "hello".

I am one of the contributors of the French version of the Wiktionary, which is the Dictionary and Thesaurus of Wikipedia.
I have been asked to verify the potential integration of the work achieved by your project team into our standards and it is possible!
Now, before to perform any further action I want to ask you the permission to import a part of the work done by your project into ours.
I have noticed that you are currently granting the DB with a GNU GPL license. Our project is running under the GNU Free Documentation license [[w:en:GNU Free Documentation License]] and your agreement would mean that you agree on the terms of this license.
Let me also plead for my American and German colleague who would certainly be interested by the great achievement of project.
